McRoy Mamora’s Story

My name is McRoy Mamora. I am happy with humanitarian activities ranging from fundraising to program implementation.

I joined as an ADRA volunteer in 2017,  ADRA and BNPB held Basic Disaster Management training for Master Guides at the Jakarta Local Conference and its surroundings at that time.

After that,  I took part in the ADRA program, namely planting 1,000 mangroves which were held in Sedari Village, Karawang Regency, West Java Province. This activity was carried out together with Pathfinders and Master Guides at the Jakarta Local Conference and its surroundings on November 19, 2017.

The purpose of this activity is to raise participants’ sense of concern for the environment, prevent coastal abrasion on the coast of Sedari and build community preparedness on the coast of Sedari to face tidal flooding or tsunami disasters.

I am happy to join as an ADRA volunteer because it is in line with several Pathfindering activities. For me, a humanitarian mission is a noble thing, uplifting and proud.

I want to invite all of you to pray and serve wherever we are, even throughout the world. Because we were born to help others and become channels of God’s love. Let us continue to share knowledge and experience and always do our best.
