Hope Renewed: REAF II Project Brings Resilience to Earthquake-Affected Farmers in Sigi District

ADRA Indonesia is proud to share the success of the “Recovery of Earthquake Affected Farmers (REAF II)” project in Sigi District! Over the past year, we have been working tirelessly to support and uplift earthquake-affected farmers in the region. Recently, we held a productive workshop with key stakeholders for the annual monitoring and evaluation of group development plans conducted at the village level. 🀝🏒

The workshop served a vital purpose in reviewing and evaluating the achievements of the group planning implementation, ensuring alignment with the government’s development agenda. By collaborating closely with various stakeholders, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the local community. 🌟 Not only ensuring the community’s livelihood recovery, but this project also ensures that in the future, the community can adapt to climate change by implementing climate-smart agriculture practices.

During this meeting, ADRA also emphasized the importance of considering marketing opportunities using digital platforms and introduced farmers, livestock keepers, and micro, small, and medium-sized business owners to the significant impact on their businesses by leveraging digital tools. The use of digital platforms can enhance access to markets, resources, and vital information, enabling them to grow their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Addressing gender issues is an essential aspect of ADRA’s commitment to sustainable development. In the “Recovery of Earthquake Affected Farmers (REAF II)” project, we actively promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. We recognize the crucial role women play in agriculture and the need to ensure their full and meaningful participation in decision-making processes. Through targeted initiatives, we strive to provide women farmers with equal access to resources, training, and opportunities, empowering them to thrive and contribute significantly to the agricultural sector’s growth and resilience.

Together, we are fostering resilience and sustainability in earthquake-affected communities, while also advancing gender equality and social inclusivity. By championing the integration of climate-smart agriculture practices and digital innovations, we envision a brighter and prosperous future for the resilient communities of Sigi District. πŸŒ±πŸŒΎπŸ’š
