An earthquake struck Lombok again. A magnitude 7.0 earthquake occurred on 5 August 2018 at 18:46 worsen the situation in Lombok, previously Lombok had been shaken by the 6.4 SR disaster on 29 July 2018. According to BMKG, this 7.0 earthquake is the main Shock.
The shock is also felt to the east part of Java island.Thousands of houses were totally damaged and hundreds of people died and were seriously injured. According to government data to date; 387 people died, 14,033 were injured, 64,533 houses were damaged and 387,067 IDPs spread in Mataram City, West Lombok Regency, North Lombok Regency, Central Lombok Regency, East Lombok Regency, West Sumbawa Regency and Bali Province.Currently, ADRA Indonesia team are in the field conducting a rapid needs assessment as well as present and coordinate with government, humanitarian organizations and community organizations.
