On the third week of October, ADRA team along with Lianne went to Karawang to show her the BAMBOO 2 project there, a project that focuses on five villages in that region. The goal is to improve the livelihood of these villages.
In the year of 2015, ADRA hosted Emergency Response Training (ERT) and Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) program. It was attended by 21 participants from ADRA in Asia and Pacific, such as Myanmar, the Philippines, Nepal, Srilanka, New Zealand, Vanuatu, India, Samoa, Bangladesh, Australia and Indonesia. Local government and other NGOs also attended. ERT-SIMEX took place in two cities. 2-6 November in Jakarta and 8-10 in Karawang.
In this October-November, ADRA Indonesia got a new team member, who will be involved in ADRA Indonesia activities for about six weeks. She is from the Netherlands. She is sent by ADRA Netherlands to participate in an internship program at ADRA Indonesia.
It has been 4 months since UAP has been implemented in Bantar Gebang, especially in Sumur Batu and Ciketing Udik villages. ADRA Indonesia through ADRA International gave their hands for the people of Bantar Gebang to establish vegetable gardens there. Through the efforts and understanding, we finally got the people's support.
